Use the Modifiers administration page to view, edit, and add modifiers in Copia.

Accessing this Page

• Click the Administration menu button, click the Order Choice Setup button, and then click the Modifiers submenu link. You must have the necessary security permissions to access the Administration menu button.

When you click the Administration menu button, Copia opens the main Administration menu, which contains administrative menu buttons, including the Order Choice Setup menu. To return to the main menu for Copia, click the Lab Tasks menu button.

Viewing the Modifiers List

1. The Modifier list page contains a list of up to ten modifiers, displayed in alphabetical order. If the list is longer than one page, use the Page links, located below the list of modifiers, to navigate through the list.
2. To view active modifiers only, select the Show active only checkbox at the top of the Modifier list page. You may set the active/inactive status in the Modifier Details section of the Modifier details page. See "Adding and Editing Modifiers" below.
3. To narrow the list of displayed modifiers, or to find a specific modifier, enter a modifier into the Name field. This is a search-as-you-type field. Click the Refresh button to refresh modifier results in the table list.
4. If you cannot find the desired modifier, click the Add button to add a modifier. See "Adding and Editing Modifiers" below.
5. Click the name of the modifier in order to view/edit modifier details for the selected modifier. Click the Save button to save any changes made to the modifier.

Adding and Editing Modifiers

1. Click the Add button on the Modifier list page to add a modifier via the Modifier details page.
2. Enter the name of the modifier in the Modifier field located in the Modifier Details section. This field is required. Select the Active checkbox to make the modifier have an active status.
3. Click the name of any modifier on the Modifier list page to edit Modifier detail information.
4. Click the Save button to add the modifier to the Modifier list page. The new modifiers will appear in the modifiers table list. Click the < Back to List button to return to the Modifier list page without adding a modifier.

Adding Host Codes for Modifiers

1. Select the Show active hosts only checkbox located in the Host Codes for this Modifier section to have Copia only show active hosts.
2. Enter a host code in the available field located to the right of the host name in the Host Code column.
3. Click the HL7 2.5.1 button to the far right of the host name to add HL7 2.5.1 codes via the HL7 2.5.1 Codes pop-up.
   • Enter an HL7 2.5.1 code into the HL7 2.5.1 Code field to add the code. This field is required.
   • Enter an HL7 2.5.1 code system into the HL7 2.5.1 Code System field to add the code system. This field is required.
   • Enter an HL7 2.5.1 version number into the HL7 2.5.1 Version field to add a version number. This field is required.
   • Click the Save button to save any changes made on the HL7 2.5.1 Codes pop-up, or click the Cancel button to close the pop-up without saving any changes. The HL7 2.5.1 button text will turn green and in italics when HL7 2.5.1 code(s) have been added.
4. Click the Save button on the Modifier details page to save any changes made on the page, or click the < Back to List button to return to the Modifier list page without saving any changes.
